Almost five years ago they were just friend and along the years they grew together in good and bad, support and understand each other, love and be loved.

they said :

" We can't describe in words, how thankful we are to have each other."

On September 2nd, their wish had come true.. they had united as one.. and i am really happy for them..

A Kebaya is a traditional blouse worn by Indonesian and Malaysian women made from sheer material and usually worn with a sarong, batik, or other traditional knitted garment such as a songket with a colorful motif.
Kebayas are believed to originate from China hundreds of years ago. They then spread to Malacca, Java, Bali, Sumatera, and Celebes. After hundred years of acculturation, the garments have become adjusted to local customs and culture.
On Java Island before 1600, kebayas were sacred clothing to be worn only by members of the Javanese monarchy. During the period of Dutch control of that island, European women began wearing kebayas as formal dress. During this period, kebayas were transformed from only using mori fabric to using silk with colorful embroidary.

let me see.. the couple was brought to the stage by the bride's father and it's a symbolic thing for the father delivering her daughter and her new son in law into a new life.. or something like that.. im not really sure of how to explain it hehe ^^;

Hmm... are Javanese monarchy still existing? I wonder how they feel that those damn meddling Westerners 'commonised' the Kebaya.

And as for the ceremony thing... well that's really similiar to Western ceremonies isn't it? From what I know... in Cambodia one of the rites is to... (if I remember...) the woman has the clean the man's shoes while the man holds a sword... to symbolise how she'll take care of him while he protects or something. Bah!
